So yesterday they began work on our landscaping. I'm pumped to get some greenery in our back yard instead of looking at a manilla cement wall and dirt. I also negotiated two aloe vera plants in tall pots, maybe not a big deal to you, but for at least the past yearish La has wanted an aloe vera plant so we can use the aloe when we want.
My awesome wife made some sugar cookies from scratch last night. She's been doing all she can to get me in the Christmas spirit. And she's doing a great job. I-tunes radio Christmas channel is helping tremendously as well.
And last night I happened to watch The Little Giants on satellite. Actually I had to choose between D2 The Mighty Ducks and Little Giants. A tough choice, but sequels are rarely as good as the original, hence why I watched Little Giants. Its strange but it helped get me more in the Christmas mood. Probably because of the fun childhood memories I associate with those movies.
Any way what I really wanted to blog about was what mr. jack did this morning. As I'm getting ready to head to the office I see him getting into the cabinets as he so often does. Except this time he pulls out a computer bag a friend of ours so kindly donated to us along with their extra laptop. I chuckled as I realize he's simply trying to mimick me, at the moment I had my bag strapped on my shoulder. But it didn't stop there. Jack took the computer bag and walked me all the way to the garage. And as I opened the back drivers side door to place my bag in the car he climbed in and sat in the backseat ready to go to work with dad. He was so nochalent about it, like "this is what I'm doing today." He wasn't being onry, it was more matter of fact than anything else. When I removed him he didn't cry, just gave me a kiss and went to mom. I could easily see this becoming routine. Kids really are sponges. It's amazing to me that he knew where the bag was in the kitchen and was aware enough to know that he needed to take the bag out of the cabinet and bring it with him if he wanted to come with me. It's almost as if in his little mind he thought the bag was the key to him being able to come with me. Funny stuff. Kids are awesome.
