In the Ghetto

So last night after trying to fight off my hunger for an hour I decided I should go hunt down a place to grab some food. Well if you've ever been forced to go out to eat for every meal for longer than a week you begin to hate eating. At least I do. So it was dark, and I'm driving around. I go to where I thought I saw a KFC, mashed potatoes were the only thing that sounded good. Well turns out there is no KFC where I thought it was so I attempt to turn around.

Its important for the sake of the story that I emphasis that you can not go the exact same way as you came from. There is a way to get somewhere and there is a way to get back from that somewhere, but they are not the same way.

So I'm driving around trying to get back on the main highway after I realize there's a KFC closer to my hotel than where I am. I come up to a really dark heavily populated area that in which the buildings all around me have some sort of construction going on. This entire area is back city streets and is no longer than two blocks, but because of the traffic it takes 15 min. to get out of this area. As I begin to see where my actual exit is a little Indian man, early 20's, trys to wave down my car. He isn't angry, but smiling and fairly nonchalant almost like he recognized my car or knows the reason I am where I am at that time of night. As I'm noticing the other people I realize there are zero women in sight and by the expression on his face and by the way he pursued my vehicle it made me think he very well might of have been a man of the night. I obviously have no way to prove this other than my own discernment in that moment. Regardless, I now know where to not go when it gets dark.
