So we completely rearranged our upstairs yesterday. We moved all 3 of the 4 bedrooms. I never thought it would be that much work. But we got it done. It's now better for the kiddo's too. And then I got this idea that it was time to hang the tv in the playroom. We'll that was the real challenge of yesterday. I managed to get all 6 holes drilled into the concrete walls exactly where I wanted. But the plastic wall anchors that came with the tv didn't cut it. I was actually able to pull out by hand a couple of the lag screws. The tv is like 75#. It would do some serious damage if it fell. So my progress was halted until I can locate some proper wall anchors and probably some bigger lag screws.
Jack has done awesome at sleeping in his bed. It's really comical the positions we find him in when we check on him. I walked in yesterday to find him standing in his room with the light on wiping something off his tongue with both hands. Immediately I thought he managed to find something to eat in here...but he was just playing and started doing Indian (feather not the dot) noises soon after. He actually slept until 7 this morning....its been 630 the other mornings, because of the bed transition. Its funny to me how he responded to having the ability to get in and out of bed. He had no grid for how to manage that freedom. Even more funny that I'm suppose to raise this kid and yet I still haven't mastered how to manage being free. And yet, ultimately (big picture) we're trying to teach our kids how to manage their own freedom. This is no easy task, I'm going to have to chew on this a bit more before I lay down some unwarranted parenting principals.

I am glad the transition was good for yall. Bad for us. It took a while for him to fall asleep on his own in the bed. It's good now, Baker does get up sometimes at 6:30 and sometimes at 3am I wake up to see him standing by my bed, but what do you do? Beau and him share a room so he has at least learned that when he leaves to shut the door. It's pretty funny
