Ah....India

Well my first day of meetings went well. There are some unique things I'm noticing. The most shocking things I've witnessed are the different animals milling about. I saw some folks riding two huge elephants, some large monkeys on the street corner, what I think was a ferret shimming up a tree, and lots of donkeys and cows. And people just ignore them and the animals ignore the people. The vegetation is very thick, much thicker than I thought it would be.

The offices I've visited weren't impressive. The interaction seems unique in that there are often long pauses in conversation. I can't tell if this is normal or if this is large in part because our partner here is techniqually blind, the guy can't see past 3 inches in front of him. He's a heck of a nice guy and scarily straight forward with customers. Otherwise all other encounters have been what i would consider normal. I have really enjoyed having a driver....its clearly very neccessary. Its seemingly a free for all although I've noticed a few roundabouts and two traffic lights. Also, people use there horn as a way to alert people they're coming. Well I got to get some dinner. I'm on a couple flights tomorrow to get to some vaious places in India, but I'm sure I'll have more to write.
