So after we took 2 taxis to our villa (later I found out we were increadibly overcharged) we unloaded as much as needed and went to sleep. Jack and I in on the queen and La and Hudd on the huge oversized couches. The next day we went to the Embassy club and had a Thanksgiving Day lunch. It was great to get a meal and we realized once we were there that the family who invited us had purchased our admittance, which was increadibly kind of them to do. Not only that but the same family let us borrow an infant carseat, some clothes for La, and baby gates.
Those 1st few days were a bit of a blurr. Our luggage arrived the next evening a little after midnight. Thank goodness that I brought the ps3 to watch movies it has been our main source of entertainment for Jack although, at this point I'm really tired of watching the same thing over and over.
So our villa really is awesome see pics on facebook. I love that La commented on how much of a home it felt like. We also agree it sort of has a beach house feel to it with the large amount of natural light and the wooden roman shades. The only negative thing I can think of is it's so loud with the high ceilings and all the tile...we can hear the kids crying from the living room. That will change when we get some more rugs in this place but in the meantime it's better than buying baby monitors.
We are so ridiculously grateful for this place. La and I have both thought that this is a grate place to have a house church. It's probably difficult to tell in the pictures because the massivness of the rooms dwarf our furniture, but our table seats 8 and the living room couches comfortably seat 8 as well. Can't wait for those of you coming over here to see it for yourself. Kind of ridiculous a couple 20 somethings with 2 kids would be living in a place like this.
